Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi

On arrival at the New Delhi airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city's bustling streets or wander its wide tree-lined boulevards to get your first taste of India. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Old & New Delhi

Today, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Begin your tour at Rajghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Next, visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Experience the vibrant atmosphere with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's busiest market. Drive past the Presidential House and India Gate in Edwin Lutyen's Delhi. Explore Humayun's Tomb, built in 1562 by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Conclude your day with a visit to the Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Excursion trip to Agra (220 kms/4 hrs drive One Way)

Early this morning, depart for Agra, renowned for its stunning Mughal architecture. Upon arrival visit the iconic Taj Mahal and Mehtab Bagh. Later visit the historical Agra fort, and the exquisite Itmad-ud-Daulah. Later in the evening, leave for Delhi for overnight stay.

Day 4: New Delhi - Kochi (By Flight)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to New Delhi Airport for your flight to Kochi (Cochin). Upon arrival at Cochin International Airport, our local person will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kochi. Rest and relax at the hotel, and later head-out to explore Kochi. Your sightseeing tour includes Fort Kochi, known for its colonial architecture and historic charm, Marine Drive with its picturesque waterfront, and St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. Visit the Dutch Palace, renowned for its murals and historical artifacts, and the Santa Cruz Basilica, a stunning example of Gothic architecture. Explore the serene Bolgatty Island and immerse yourself in the history at the Indo-Portuguese Museum. Return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Day 5: Kochi - Munnar (130 kms/4 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Munnar, the crown jewel of Kerala! Take in the crisp mountain air as you journey through scenic landscapes to your charming retreat in Munnar. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy some relaxing time in this enchanting hill station. Overnight stay at a hotel in Munnar.

Day 6: Exploring Munnar

Our day begins with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered mountain goat unique to these hills. Next, we swap four wheels for a scenic boat ride across the serene Mattupetty Dam lake. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and soak in the tranquility. Later head to Echo Point, a vantage point offering breathtaking panoramic views of the rolling Munnar hills. Listen closely – on a clear day, you might even hear your own voice echoing through the valleys! As the sun dips below the horizon, we'll ascend to another stunning viewpoint, Top Station. Day 7: Munnar - Thekkady (100 kms/3.30 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Thekkady, a wildlife paradise approximately 3 hours away. Upon arrival, check into your comfortable resort and take some time to freshen up. In the afternoon, embark on a serene boat ride on Periyar Lake, offering a unique opportunity to observe wildlife like elephants, bison, and deer in their natural habitat. Follow this with a fascinating tour of a nearby spice plantation, where you'll discover the secrets of cultivating exotic spices such as cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon. Day 8: Thekkady - Alleppey (130 kms/3 hrs drive)

Upon arrival, check in to your houseboat around 1:00 PM and begin your enchanting backwater cruise. The houseboat experience is a quintessential Kerala journey, offering a unique way to explore the serene network of canals and lagoons that define the region. As you cruise, enjoy a delicious lunch onboard and take in the scenic beauty of the backwaters. Glide past traditional Chinese fishing nets, lush paddy fields, and vibrant coconut groves. After enjoying breakfast on the houseboat, we will transfer you to Cochin Airport for your onward journey or return home, concluding your unforgettable journey through India.
