Day 1: Arrive in Varanasi

On your arrival at Varanasi Airport or railway station, an Alkof Holidays representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Explore Varanasi & Sarnath

Start your day with an early morning boat ride on the River Ganges, providing a peaceful perspective of the ghats as the city begins to stir. Following the boat ride, visit an Akhara to observe traditional martial arts, a historic form of combat training. Next, embark on a tour of Varanasi, including a walk along its sacred ghats, each rich with history and daily rituals. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, renowned for its golden spire and a key pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Bharat Mata Mandir, a unique temple honoring 'Mother India' with a relief map of the country. In the afternoon, travel to Sarnath, a crucial Buddhist pilgrimage site where Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Explore the Dhamekha Stupa, a towering structure marking the sermon’s location, and the Chaukhandi Stupa, an ancient mound commemorating the Buddha's visit. The Archaeological Museum in Sarnath houses significant Buddhist artifacts and sculptures. Return to Varanasi in the evening to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti on the riverbanks. Day 3: Excursion trip to Prayagraj

After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Prayagraj, one of India's oldest and most revered pilgrimage cities. Upon arrival, visit Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers. Enjoy a boat ride on the Sangam to reach the spot where these three rivers merge, a major pilgrimage site where devotees come to take a holy dip. Next, visit the Bade Hanuman Ji Temple, known for its impressive 20-foot-long reclining idol of Lord Hanuman. Also, explore Anand Bhawan, the former residence of the Nehru-Gandhi family, which now serves as a museum showcasing Indian political history.
