Day 1: Arrive in Varanasi

Upon your arrival at Varanasi airport or railway station, an Alkof Holidays representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest. Later in the evening, attend the Aarti ceremony on the banks of the River Ganges. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Exploring Varanasi & Sarnath

Start your morning with a serene boat ride on the River Ganges, witnessing the sunrise and the spiritual activities along the ghats. Next, visit an Akhara to observe the traditional form of martial arts practiced there. Embark on a morning city tour of Varanasi, strolling through the sacred ghats and immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere. Visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple, also known as the Golden Temple, and pay homage at the Bharat Mata Mandir, a unique temple dedicated to Mother India. Later, proceed to Sarnath, a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site. Explore the Dhamekha Stupa, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon, and visit the Archaeological Museum to view ancient artifacts. Continue to the Chaukhandi Stupa, an important historical monument. Return to the hotel in the evening for a restful overnight stay.

Day 3: Explore Ramnagar Fort & Journey to Allahabad (120 kms/2.30 hrs drive)

After a leisurely breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the historic Ramnagar Fort, located on the eastern bank of the River Ganges. This 17th-century fort, once the residence of the Maharaja of Varanasi, is renowned for its blend of Mughal and Indian architecture. Explore the fort’s museum, which houses vintage cars, royal costumes, and an impressive collection of manuscripts, weapons, and artifacts that reflect the region’s rich heritage. After exploring Ramnagar Fort, embark on a scenic drive to Allahabad, now known as Prayagraj, a city steeped in history and culture. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay at your hotel in Allahabad.

Day 4: Allahabad Sightseeing & Journey to Ayodhya (170 kms/4 hrs drive)

Start your day with a tour of Allahabad, beginning with a visit to the sacred Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three holy rivers: the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati. This revered site is a major pilgrimage spot, where devotees come to take a holy dip. Next, explore Allahabad Fort, a grand structure built by Emperor Akbar, offering panoramic views of the Sangam. Visit Anand Bhawan, the ancestral home of the Nehru family, now a museum showcasing India's modern history and independence movement. After your sightseeing tour, enjoy a scenic drive to Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama and one of the most sacred cities in Hinduism. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a brief boat ride on the swift-flowing Sarayu River, and later participate in the Aarti Ceremony, on the banks of Sacred Saryu River. Overnight stay at the hotel in Ayodhya.

Please Note: Due to traffic police restrictions, cars will be parked 1 to 2 km away from the Ayodhya Main Temple and other sites. Travelers will need to through auto rickshaw or tuktuk to reach the temple and other sites.

Day 5: Ayodhya Sightseeing & Journey to Lucknow

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Ayodhya. Upon arrival check-in at the hote, later head out to explore Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram. Begin your sightseeing with a visit to the sacred Sarayu River, where thousands of pilgrims gather to take a holy dip. Next, visit the magnificent Shri Ram Temple, built on the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, revered as the seventh avatar of the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu. Continue to other significant sites in Ayodhya, including Hanuman Garhi Mandir, Kanak Bhawan, Sita Ki Rasoi, Dashrath Mahal, Tulsi Smarak Bhavan, and Ram Katha Sangrahalay. After lunch, arrive at Kanchan Bhawan, where you’ll begin the Mokshadayani Heritage Walk to Nageshwar Dham. Later, drive to Lucknow and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Excursion to Naimisharanya & Lucknow Sightseeing

Begin your day with an early morning excursion to Naimisharanya, a sacred pilgrimage site about 90 kilometers from Lucknow. Visit key spiritual landmarks such as Chakra Tirth, where Lord Vishnu’s divine discus is believed to have landed, and the Gomti River, where pilgrims perform sacred rituals. Explore the Lalita Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Lalita, and experience the tranquil and spiritual ambiance of Naimisharanya before returning to Lucknow.

In the afternoon, continue with a brief city tour of Lucknow. Visit the magnificent Bara Imambara, known for its impressive central hall and the mysterious Bhul Bhulaiya (labyrinth). Make a stop at the iconic Rumi Darwaza, a massive gateway that stands as a symbol of Lucknow’s rich architectural heritage. Afterward, head to the bustling markets of Lucknow, where you can shop for the city’s famous chikankari embroidery and other local crafts. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Lucknow.

Day 7: Departure from Lucknow

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to either Lucknow Airport or Lucknow Railway Station, according to your preference, for your onward journey.
