Day 1: Chennai - Srikalahasti - Tirupati (160 kms/4 hrs drive)

Upon arrival at Chennai Airport, an Alkof Holidays representative will greet you and transfer you to Tirupati. En-route, stop at the renowned Srikalahasti Temple, situated on the banks of the River Swarnamukhi. After seeking blessings from Lord Shiva, continue your journey to Tirupati. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Overnight stay at the hotel in Tirupati.

Day 2: Tirupati Darshan

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before visiting the Tirupati Balaji Temple (also known as Lord Venkateshwara Temple). This sacred temple, nestled at the base of the Tirumala Hills, is a major pilgrimage site in South India. Witness the devotion of countless devotees as they queue for a glimpse of Lord Venkateshwara. Offerings of coins, jewelry, and hair are part of the tradition here. Next, visit the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi, the consort of Lord Venkateshwara. Proceed to Kapil Theertham, a serene temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located near the picturesque Tirumala waterfalls. Continue to explore the Sri Govindaraja Swami Temple, an important Vaishnava shrine in Tirupati known for its traditional architectural style. The foundation stone of this historic temple was laid by the revered scholar Ramanuja in 1235. Return to your hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel in Tirupati.

Day 3: Tirupati - Pondicherry (240 kms/5 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a journey to Pondicherry (or Puducherry), once a French colonial settlement, is now a Union Territory known for its charming French Quarter. Here, you’ll find tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas, and chic boutiques. The promenade along the Bay of Bengal features several statues, including a notable 4-meter-high Gandhi Memorial.

Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and unwind. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Take in the pleasant weather and capture the beauty of Promenade Beach, where you can relax and stroll along the scenic seaside promenade. You may also wish to explore Nehru Street Market for some local shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel in Pondicherry.

Day 4: At Pondicherry (Excursion trip to Auroville)

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Auroville City, an innovative community founded in 1968 by the spiritual leader Mirra Alfassa. Auroville is a unique town where people from around the world live together in harmony. The centerpiece of this experimental community is the Matrimandir, a striking spherical temple adorned with gold discs. Explore the Auroville Botanical Gardens, which preserve the region's tropical dry evergreen forest. Enjoy and relax at Auroville Beach, known for its long sandy stretch and gentle surf. Return to Pondicherry to visit the Aurobindo Ashram, established by the Bengali philosopher Sri Aurobindo in the early 20th century. Also, visit the Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Later in the evening enjoy the fun boat rides at the Chunnambar Backwater. The rest of the day is free for you. Overnight stay at the hotel in Pondicherry.

Day 5: Pondicherry - Chennai (150 kms/3.5 hrs drive) & Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, an Alkof Holidays representative will transfer you to Chennai Airport. Board your flight home or to your next destination, bringing your journey to a close.
