Day 1: Arrival at Mumbai

Upon your arrival at Mumbai International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by an Alkof Holidays representative who will escort you to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to unwind and explore at your own pace. Enjoy a relaxing overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: At Mumbai

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on an exciting full-day guided tour of Mumbai, the City that Never Sleeps. Start your adventure with a ferry ride from Mumbai harbor to Elephanta Island, where you'll explore the ancient caves dating back to the 5th century BC. In the afternoon, return by ferry and savor lunch at a local restaurant. Next, visit the iconic Gateway of India for a photo shoot and some sightseeing. Continue to the Prince of Wales Museum, home to fascinating artifacts from the Indus Valley civilization. Then, head to Mani Bhavan, a poignant memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. In the evening, enjoy free time for shopping as you navigate the bustling lanes filled with shops and vibrant attractions. Conclude your day with a relaxing overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Mumbai to Diu (By Flight) - Gir National Park (70 kms/2 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will escort you to Mumbai Airport for your flight to Diu. Upon landing at Diu Airport, you'll be greeted by another representative who will transfer you to Gir National Park. Once you arrive, check-in at the resort and settle in for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4: At Gir National Park

Experience the thrill of both morning and evening game drives at Gir National Park, the only home to the majestic Asiatic lions. This renowned protected area boasts an impressive range of exotic flora and fauna, with its dry and deciduous forests sheltering over 500 lions and 300 leopards. Gir is a haven for the cat family, including the native Indian leopard. In addition to these big cats, you can spot jackals, hyenas, Indian foxes, and sambar deer. The park is uniquely home to the Chowsingha, or four-horned antelope, the only place in the world where this rare species resides. Other inhabitants include chinkara, wild boar, nilgai, chital, mongoose, honey badger, desert cats, rusty-spotted cats, porcupines, and hares. Gir also supports a significant population of marsh crocodiles, among the 40 species of reptiles and amphibians recorded here. Bird watchers will delight in Gir's rich avian diversity, with over 250 bird species. This biodiversity hotspot attracts wildlife enthusiasts year-round. Day 5: Gir National Park to Diu (70 kms/2 hrs drive) - Mumbai (By Flight) & Departure

Safari access to specific zones is subject to availability. To secure your preferred safari bookings in your desired zones, we recommend booking your tours at least 90 days in advance. To book your safari, we require a clear photo of the traveler's passport, as mandated by the forest department.
Once safaris are confirmed, the safari fees are non-refundable.

Our family had a customized tour that included all three national parks for tiger safaris as well as the traditional golden triangle tour. We had 2 different drivers during the tour that picked us up at the airport or drove us to the next location. The drivers were always early, extremely friendly and helpful, and the cars were immaculate. We stayed at six different hotels that were picked out for us. They were all very nice and I would stay at them again. The guides at each location were very knowledgeable and friendly.
