Upon your arrival in Guwahati, an Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax at leisure. In the evening, consider an optional river cruise on the Brahmaputra River to witness a tranquil sunset (available at an additional cost). Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Jorhat, often referred to as the Tea Capital of India due to its vast tea estates. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to rest and relax. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk around Garh Ali, Jorhat’s bustling commercial hub. Explore the local shops, where you can find traditional North-East Indian fabrics and unique handicrafts. It's the perfect opportunity to pick up some souvenirs. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Sivasagar, the historic capital of the Ahom dynasty that ruled Assam for 600 years before the British era. Begin your exploration with a visit to the Tai Ahom Museum, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Ahom rulers. Next, visit the Maidams of Charaideo, the royal burial grounds of Ahom kings, considered sacred by the locals. Explore other remnants of the Ahom dynasty, including the Sivasagar Tank, a man-made lake created by Queen Madambika in 1734, and the iconic Shivdol—the tallest Shiva temple in the world. Don't miss the Kareng Ghar and Talatal Ghar, grand palaces reflecting the architectural brilliance of the Ahoms, as well as the Gaurisagar Tank with its three temples.

In the afternoon, drive back to Jorhat. Later, explore the nearby tea gardens, experiencing the serene beauty of Assam's famed tea plantations. Also visit the historic Jorhat Gymkhana Club, established in 1876 by D. Slimmon. This club, home to Asia’s oldest golf course, features a 9-hole lush green course recognized as a World Heritage Site. The club is also renowned for its horse races and offers facilities like lawn tennis, billiards, polo, swimming, and a gentleman’s bar. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Early in the morning, depart for Kaziranga National Park with a stop at Majuli Island. Drive to Nimati Steamer Ghat, where you'll board a ferry to Majuli. After a scenic one-and-a-half-hour sail across the mighty Brahmaputra River, arrive at Majuli Island, the world's largest river island and the center of Vaisnavite monasteries.

Explore the island by visiting the Satras, the spiritual heart of Vaisnavite culture, founded by the revered saint Srimanta Sankardeva. Afterward, immerse yourself in the local way of life by visiting the tribal villages, where you can experience the unique culture and traditions of the island’s indigenous communities. After the Majuli sightseeing, continue your journey to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses. Upon arrival, check into your wildlife resort and relax. Overnight stay at the resort.

Early in the morning head-out on your first jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park. As you venture into this UNESCO World Heritage Site, keep an eye out for its remarkable inhabitants, including the renowned one-horned rhinoceros, majestic tigers, and herds of wild buffalo and elephants. The park’s diverse ecosystem is also home to various species of deer, pythons, and the rare Ganges River dolphins, making the safari an unforgettable adventure. During the journey, take a moment to pause and enjoy the serene views from a watchtower, where you can observe animals gathering by a peaceful water body, offering a perfect opportunity for photography and reflection. After the morning safari, return to the resort to unwind and recharge.

In the afternoon, set out for another thrilling jeep safari through the park, where you'll be surrounded by the vibrant sights and sounds of nature. The area’s wetlands, water bodies, and lush vegetation create an ideal environment for spotting a wide variety of bird species, both resident and migratory. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Begin your day with an exhilarating early morning jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park. As dawn breaks, venture into the park's diverse landscapes, where you can witness the vibrant wildlife awakening. The morning safari offers a prime opportunity to spot the park’s famous Indian one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as tigers, elephants, and an array of bird species. After the morning adventure, return to your resort for a relaxing break and lunch. In the afternoon, embark on another thrilling jeep safari in a different zone of the park. This safari will provide further chances to observe the rich biodiversity of Kaziranga, including sightings of wild buffalo, swamp deer, and various reptiles. We had to alter our plans and extended the tour for 2 more days. From second day we started our sightseeing of Delhi, next day visited Agra, then Fatehpur Sikri and then Jaipur. The driver and the local guides were punctual, polite, and worked very hard to make our trip enjoyable. Sachin made sure we saw everything on our bucket list. I recommend Alkof Holidays, thank you so much. Read more

Our family had a customized tour that included all three national parks for tiger safaris as well as the traditional golden triangle tour. We had 2 different drivers during the tour that picked us up at the airport or drove us to the next location. The drivers were always early, extremely friendly and helpful, and the cars were immaculate. We stayed at six different hotels that were picked out for us. They were all very nice and I would stay at them again. The guides at each location were very knowledgeable and friendly. The company itself stayed in contact with me throughout the trip to make sure I did not need anything. I would highly recommend this company. This tour was much more flexible and convenient than participating in a group tour where everyone has to keep up with a group pace. Read more
