Namaste and welcome to Gwalior! Upon arrival at Gwalior Airport or Railway Station, an Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Relax at the hotel, then in the afternoon, enjoy a half-day city tour. Visit the 5th-century Gwalior Fort, perched 300 feet above the ground and considered one of India’s most formidable forts. Explore the Gopachal Parvat Jain monuments, a collection of Jain carvings from the 7th to the 15th century, the 9th-century Teli Ka Mandir, and the 11th-century Sas Bahu ka Mandir. In the evening, witness the spectacular sound and light show (entry on direct payment basis) at Gwalior Fort, which narrates the history of Gwalior and its warriors. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Orchha. Check into your hotel upon arrival. In the afternoon, explore Orchha, the historic capital of the Bundela Rajput kings. Visit Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Phool Bagh, Dinman Hardaul's Palace, and Sunder Mahal. Also, explore the well-preserved temples of Orchha, including the Ram Raja Temple and the Chaturbhuj Temple. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Early morning, drive to Khajuraho. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a temple tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khajuraho. Visit the Western Group of Temples, where the Kandariya Mahadev Temple stands out for its magnificent sculptural work. While Khajuraho temples are renowned for their erotic sculptures, these images represent only about 15% of the overall carvings; the rest depict Hindu deities, goddesses, and other figures. Also visit the Eastern Group of Temples. The rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Today, visit Panna National Park, located near the Ken River, known for its deep gorges, serene valleys, and dense teak forests. You may spot tigers, leopards, and herds of chinkara, sambar, and other wildlife species. En route, The Pandav Falls and other waterfalls in the area are popular picnic spots. Return to Khajuraho in the evening and explore local shops and markets at your leisure. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on your journey to Chanderi. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and settle in. Later, begin your exploration of Chanderi, a town rich in history that dates back to the Malwa Sultans and Bundela Rajputs, who ruled the area during the 15th and 16th centuries. Nestled amidst picturesque hills, serene lakes, and lush forests, Chanderi is renowned for its exquisite Chanderi saris and historical monuments. During your visit, you’ll discover why Chanderi is a favored destination in Madhya Pradesh. Explore the impressive Chanderi Fort, delve into the region's past at the Chanderi Museum, and admire the intricate Jain palaces. The town's enchanting lakes and cultural heritage further enhance its appeal. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Bhopal. En route, stop to explore the remarkable Sanchi Stupas, located 46 kilometers northeast of Bhopal. Sanchi is renowned for its impeccably preserved Buddhist stupas, which are among the finest in India. These ancient structures date back to the 3rd century BCE and include the Great Stupa, which is a significant pilgrimage site. At Sanchi, you can also see the preserved remains of Buddhist saints Sariputra and Mahamouglayan. The sacred relics are occasionally displayed to the public, especially during the annual Chethiyagiri Vihara festival held on the last Sunday of November.  After exploring Sanchi, continue your drive to Bhopal. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a visit to Bhimbetka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located south of Bhopal. Bhimbetka is renowned for its ancient cave paintings, which are some of the oldest in the world. These paintings, dating back approximately 9,000 years, provide fascinating insights into the early human life and creativity of the Stone Age. The site is nestled along the picturesque Satpura mountain range, surrounded by lush forests that enhance its natural beauty. As you explore the Bhimbetka rock shelters, you’ll encounter a rich array of prehistoric art depicting animals, human figures, and scenes of daily life. Return to your hotel in Bhopal in the evening and Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, an Alkof Holidays representative will transfer you to Bhopal Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
