Day 1: Arrive in Khajuraho

Upon arrival at Khajuraho Airport, a representative from Alkof Holidays will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Khajuraho. Check in and take some time to rest and relax. Later, you will enjoy a captivating sound and light show at the Western Group of Temples Complex in Khajuraho. This 50-minute show, available in Hindi and English, brings to life the history of the Chandela Kings and the remarkable 10th-century temples to the present day. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Explore Khajuraho

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a visit to the Western Group of Temples and the Eastern Group of Temples. The morning will be dedicated to exploring these historic sites.

Western Group of Temples: Begin with the Western Group of Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among these temples, the Kandariya Mahadev Temple is the most renowned for its grand scale and intricate sculptural artistry. While Khajuraho’s temples are famously adorned with erotic sculptures, these comprise only about 15% of the overall imagery. The majority of the sculptures feature Hindu deities, goddesses, and celestial nymphs.

Eastern Group of Temples: Proceed to the Eastern Group of Temples, located about a kilometer east of the Western group. This area includes the Parsvanath Temple, Adinath Temple, Ghantai Temple, Lord Hanuman Temple, and Lord Brahma Temple. Each temple offers a unique perspective on the region’s diverse architectural and religious heritage.

Afternoon free for self activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Khajuraho (Panna Excursion)

After breakfast, set out for an exciting day trip to Panna National Park. Enjoy a thrilling jeep safari through the park, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat. Panna is renowned for its diverse fauna, including tigers, leopards, and numerous bird species. Overnight stay at the hotel in Khajuraho.

Day 4: Departure from Khajuraho

After breakfast, an Alkof Holidays representative will transfer you to Khajuraho Airport or the railway station for your onward journey.
