Day 1: Arrive in Jodhpur

Welcome to Jodhpur, the enchanting Blue City! Upon arrival at Jodhpur Airport or Railway Station, an Alkof Holidays representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. In the evening, you have the option to participate in an informative Village Safari to the Bishnoi village. This optional activity offers a unique opportunity to meet local villagers, learn about their traditional lifestyle and culture, and experience the charm of rural Rajasthan. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort.

Please note: The Village Jeep Safari is an optional activity and its cost is to be paid directly by the client.

Day 2: Exploring Jodhpur

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Jodhpur, the Blue City. Begin your exploration at the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha. Perched on a 150-meter-high hill, this formidable and majestic fort is one of the most impressive in Rajasthan. Marvel at the fort's seven gates, including the Jayapol (Victory Gate), constructed by Maharaja Man Singh to celebrate his victories over Jaipur and Bikaner armies. Look for the battle scars on the second gate, a testament to the fort's storied past. Next, visit Jaswant Thada, an elegant marble cenotaph dedicated to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. This peaceful monument offers insight into the region's royal heritage. Continue to Mandore Garden, a historic site featuring beautiful temples and cenotaphs. Explore the bustling Clock Tower and Sardar Market, where you can experience the vibrant local life and shop for traditional goods. In the afternoon, visit the Umaid Bhawan Museum, part of the grand Umaid Bhawan Palace. Built between 1928 and 1943, the palace is the world’s largest private residence, with sections serving as a luxury hotel, royal quarters, and a museum showcasing artifacts from the royal family’s history. After a day of sightseeing, the rest of the day is free at own leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (300 Kms/6 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and embark on your journey to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax and refresh. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Exploring Jaisalmer

After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, get ready for exploring Jaisalmer often referred to as the "Golden City" of India. First stop, the impressive Jaisalmer Fort, built back in 1156. It's unique because lots of people still live inside, making it one of the few living forts worldwide. Explore the beautiful Jain temples inside the fort, known for their intricate architecture. Next, head to the palace museum inside the fort, where you can see fancy imperial clothes and artifacts from the royal family. Don't miss the ornate havelis (traditional townhouses) like Patwaon-ki-Haveli, with their detailed designs and fancy windows. These architectural marvels reflect the opulence and artistry of Jaisalmer's past. Also visit Gadisar Lake, a serene spot surrounded by beautiful temples and a haven for local birdlife.

Later in the evening, drive to your desert camp in Jaisalmer for an unforgettable overnight stay amidst the dunes. Upon arrival, check in at the camp and take some time to rest and settle in. As the sun begins to set, embark on a camel safari through the golden sands of the Thar Desert. Marvel at the stunning sunset views over the desert landscape, a truly mesmerizing experience. Afterward, enjoy an evening filled with cultural activities. Immerse yourself in the vibrant traditions of Rajasthan with traditional dance performances by local artists. Enjoy an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 5: Departure from Jaisalmer

After breakfast at the camp, our representative will transfer you to the Jaisalmer or Jodhpur airport/railway station, based on your preference, for your onward journey. We wish you a safe and pleasant journey ahead. Thank you for traveling with us!
