Day 1: Arrive in New Delhi

On arrival at the New Delhi airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city's bustling streets or wander its wide tree-lined boulevards to get your first taste of India. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Old & New Delhi

Today, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Begin your tour at Rajghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Next, visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Experience the vibrant atmosphere with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's busiest market. Drive past the Presidential House and India Gate in Edwin Lutyen's Delhi. Explore Humayun's Tomb, built in 1562 by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Conclude your day with a visit to the Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. Day 3: New Delhi - Agra (220 kms/4 hrs drive)

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, depart for Agra, the city renowned for the iconic Taj Mahal. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest and relax. In the afternoon, visit the exquisite Itmad-ud-Daulah and the majestic Agra Fort. Spend the evening exploring the local markets, where you can shop for unique handicrafts and souvenirs. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Ranthambore (270 kms/6 hrs drive)

Early morning before sunrise our tour guide will pick you from your hotel and take you for a guided tour of the Taj Mahal and Mehtab Bagh. Later return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Ranthambore. On the way visit Fatehpur Sikri - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by Akbar in the late 16th century. After sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri, proceed to Ranthambore for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Exploring Ranthambore National Park

Start your day early with a morning jeep safari in Ranthambore National Park. As the sun rises, venture into the wilderness, where you might spot Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and a variety of deer species like sambar and chital. The park is also home to Indian wild boars, marsh crocodiles, and over 300 species of birds. After the safari, return to the resort for a hearty breakfast, followed by some leisure time to relax or enjoy the resort's amenities. Lunch is served at the resort, offering a taste of local flavors. In the afternoon, embark on your second jeep safari, where the late-day light enhances your chances of spotting wildlife such as the Indian leopard, hyenas, and jungle cats. You may also see more of the park's vibrant birdlife, including kingfishers, parakeets, and eagles. After the safari, return to the resort for dinner, savoring a variety of dishes as you unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures before settling in for the night. Day 6: Ranthambore - Jaipur (160 kms/3.30 hrs drive)

After enjoying breakfast at the resort, depart for Jaipur. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax. In the evening, explore the charming markets of Jaipur's historic walled pink city, where you can witness the timeless traditions and vibrant local culture. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Exploring Jaipur

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on a comprehensive guided tour of Jaipur. Begin your exploration with Rajasthan's iconic attraction, the "Amber Fort and Palace," a UNESCO World Heritage Site constructed by Raja Man Singh in 1592 using red sandstone and marble. This majestic fort complex is perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of Maota Lake and the surrounding landscapes. Explore its extensive palace sections and intricate architecture, which blend seamlessly with the natural terrain. Following your visit to Amber Fort, continue your Jaipur sightseeing with a visit to Jal Mahal, the serene Water Palace situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake.

Day 9: New Delhi - Shimla (By Train)

This morning, our representative will accompany you to New Delhi railway station to board train #2011 Kalka Shatabdi Express, departing at 7:40 AM and arriving in Kalka at 12:00 PM. From there, you will connect to train #255, the Himalayan Queen Mountain Toy Train, departing at 12:10 PM, traversing through picturesque tunnels en route to Shimla. You will reach Shimla at 5:20 PM. Upon arrival at Shimla railway station, our local representative will transfer you to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10: At Shimla

After breakfast, embark on an exploration of Shimla, once the summer capital of British India. Begin with a visit to Jakhoo Hills, offering breathtaking views of the valley and its snow-covered surroundings. Explore the Himachal Museum, home to a rare collection of temple carvings, historical sculptures, weaponry, miniature paintings, and local handicrafts. Next, visit the Neo-Gothic style Christ Church, the second oldest church in North India renowned for its exquisite stained glass windows, built in 1850. Continue to the Viceregal Lodge, once the summer residence of the Indian Viceroy from 1888 to 1946. In the afternoon, journey to Kufri, a picturesque retreat surrounded by dense forests and snow-capped mountains, offering a serene escape into nature's embrace. The evening is yours to unwind or explore the bustling Mall Road in Shimla for shopping and local delights. Day 11: Shimla - New Delhi (By Train)

In the early morning, depart for Shimla railway station for your train journey to New Delhi. Upon arrival at New Delhi railway station, our person will be there to greet you and facilitate your transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Departure from Delhi

In the morning, an Alkof Holidays representative will accompany you to New Delhi Airport for your onward journey.
