Day 1: Arrival in Belgaum - Transfer to Hampi (270 kms/6.5 hrs drive)

Welcome to Belgaum! Upon your arrival at the airport, an Alkof Holidays representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to the enchanting town of Hampi. Once you arrive in Hampi, check in to your hotel and settle in. The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore at your own pace. Enjoy a leisurely evening, perhaps taking a stroll around the local area or simply unwinding at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Hampi

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a captivating sightseeing tour of Hampi. Begin your exploration with the Virupaksha Temple, a stunning landmark situated at the western end of Hampi Bazaar. This ancient temple boasts a 120-foot-tall tower over its eastern entrance and houses shrines dedicated to Shiva, Pampa, and Bhuvaneswari. Its origins predate the Vijayanagara Empire, making it a truly historic site.

Next, head to the Vithala Temple complex, renowned for its 56 musical pillars that produce melodious sounds when struck. The complex also features the iconic Stone Chariot with intricately carved stone wheels that are designed to rotate. The grandeur and artistry of this temple complex highlight the architectural brilliance of Hampi. As the day winds down, take some time to wander through the captivating ruins of Hampi, soaking in the historical ambiance and scenic beauty. Return to the hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Day 3: Hampi - Badami (150 kms/3.5 hrs drive)

After a hearty breakfast, check out from your hotel and set off for Badami, the historic city that once served as the capital of the Chalukyan dynasty. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax and refresh. In the afternoon, explore the rich heritage of Badami. Begin with a visit to the Badami Fort, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the ancient city. Next, immerse yourself in history at the Open Air Museum, showcasing various artifacts and sculptures from the region’s illustrious past. Finally, marvel at the Badami Cave Temples, renowned for their exquisite rock-cut architecture and intricate carvings, exemplifying the grandeur of Chalukyan art and craftsmanship. Return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Day 4: Excursion to Aihole and Pattadakal

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before embarking on an excursion to the nearby historical sites of Aihole and Pattadakal. First, visit Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its Group of Monuments. Day 5: Badami - Belgaum (150 kms/3.5 hrs drive) & Departure
