Day 1: Arrive in Khajuraho

Upon arrival at Khajuraho Airport, a representative from Alkof Holidays will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Khajuraho. Check in and take some time to rest and relax. Later, you have the option to enjoy a captivating sound and light show at the Western Group of Temples (additional cost, to be paid directly). This 50-minute show, available in Hindi and English, brings to life the history of the Chandela Kings and the remarkable 10th-century temples to the present day. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Explore Khajuraho

After a restful night, embark on a captivating journey through the heart of Khajuraho. This ancient land, once a crucible of kingdoms and empires, is a living testament to India's rich artistic heritage. The Gupta period ignited the region's creative spirit, a flame that subsequent dynasties passionately nurtured. Today, you'll delve into the enchanting world of the Western and Eastern temple groups. These architectural marvels, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stand as iconic symbols of India's cultural zenith. Western Group of Temples: Begin your exploration at the awe-inspiring Western Group of Temples. The Kandariya Mahadev Temple, a colossal masterpiece, will leave you breathless. While the temples are often celebrated for their erotic carvings, it's essential to remember that these constitute a small fraction of the artistic repertoire. The temples are equally adorned with divine figures, celestial nymphs, and intricate mythological narratives.

Eastern Group of Temples: Just a kilometer away, the Eastern Group of Temples awaits. Here, you'll encounter the serene Parsvanath Temple, the majestic Adinath Temple, and other sacred structures. Day 3: Khajuraho - Panna National Park Excursion

After breakfast, depart for an exciting jeep safari at Panna National Park. Explore the park’s diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. Return to Khajuraho in the evening for Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Khajuraho - Orchha (175 Kms/4.5 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Orchha, a historic town renowned for its Bundela Rajput heritage. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and then set out to explore this charming destination. Begin your tour with a visit to Jehangir Mahal, a grand palace built to honor Emperor Jehangir. Next, explore the Raj Mahal, known for its intricate frescoes and architectural elegance. Wander through Phool Bagh, a beautiful garden with scenic views. Continue to Dinman Hardaul's Palace, dedicated to a legendary Rajput prince, and Sunder Mahal, noted for its unique architectural style. Visit the revered temples of Orchha, including the Ram Raja Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Rama and holds significant religious importance, and the Chaturbhuj Temple, known for its impressive architecture and panoramic views. Day 5: Orchha - Jhansi - Gwalior (125 Kms/3 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Gwalior. En route, visit Jhansi Fort, a majestic fortress perched on a scenic hilltop. Explore the fort’s impressive architecture and historical significance. Next, visit Rani Mahal, a royal palace that once served as a residence for Rani Lakshmibai, renowned for its architectural beauty and historical relevance. Continue your drive to Gwalior. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Explore Gwalior

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your exploration of Gwalior with a visit to the Gwalior Fort, a formidable 5th-century fortress perched 300 feet above the ground. Renowned as one of India’s most impregnable forts, it offers panoramic views and a deep dive into its storied past. Continue your sightseeing with a visit to Gopachal Parvat, where you’ll find a group of Jain carvings dating from the 7th to the 15th century. Explore other notable attractions, including Suraj Kund, an ancient magnificiant kund, Teli Ka Mandir, a 9th-century temple known for its unique architecture, Sas Bahu Ka Mandir, an 11th-century temple dedicated to Hindu deities and Jai Vilas Palace & Museum, showcasing royal artifacts and the grandeur of Gwalior’s past. In the evening, witness the captivating sound and light show at Gwalior Fort (entry at your own expense), which brings to life the history of Gwalior and its illustrious warriors through a dramatic presentation. Day 7: Departure from Gwalior
