Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi

On arrival at the New Delhi airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city's bustling streets or wander its wide tree-lined boulevards to get your first taste of India. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Old & New Delhi

Today, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Begin your tour at Rajghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Next, visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Experience the vibrant atmosphere with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's busiest market. Drive past the Presidential House and India Gate in Edwin Lutyen's Delhi. Explore Humayun's Tomb, built in 1562 by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Conclude your day with a visit to the Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. Day 3: New Delhi - Agra (220 kms/4 hrs drive)

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, depart for Agra, the city renowned for the iconic Taj Mahal. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest and relax. In the afternoon, visit the exquisite Itmad-ud-Daulah and the majestic Agra Fort. Spend the evening exploring the local markets, where you can shop for unique handicrafts and souvenirs. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur (240 kms/5 hrs drive)

Early morning before sunrise our tour guide will pick you from your hotel and take you for a guided tour of the Taj Mahal and Mehtab Bagh. Later return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Jaipur. On the way visit Fatehpur Sikri - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by Akbar in the late 16th century. After sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri, proceed to Jaipur for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Exploring Jaipur

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on a comprehensive guided tour of Jaipur. Begin your exploration with Rajasthan's iconic attraction, the "Amber Fort and Palace," a UNESCO World Heritage Site constructed by Raja Man Singh in 1592 using red sandstone and marble. This majestic fort complex is perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of Maota Lake and the surrounding landscapes. Explore its extensive palace sections and intricate architecture, which blend seamlessly with the natural terrain. Following your visit to Amber Fort, continue your Jaipur sightseeing with a visit to Jal Mahal, the serene Water Palace situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake.

Proceed to City Palace, a magnificent blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture that houses museums showcasing royal artifacts. Day 7: New Delhi / Bagdogra (By Flight) - Gangtok (125 kms/4.30 hrs drive)

Based on your flight schedule, our representative will transfer you to New Delhi Airport for your flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, our local representative will warmly greet you and facilitate your transfer to Gangtok, the enchanting capital of Sikkim nestled amidst majestic mountains. Upon reaching Gangtok, settle into your hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening at your own pace. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 8: At Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full day of exploration in Gangtok. Start your journey with a visit to Hanuman Tok, a serene temple complex in the upper reaches of Gangtok dedicated to Lord Hanuman and meticulously maintained by the Indian Army. Continue your adventure with visits to Ganesh Tok, the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom (closed on Sundays), the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays), the tranquil Do Drul Chorten Monastery, and the mesmerizing Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park. Day 9: At Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on an exciting full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, situated at an impressive altitude of 12,400 feet (3,780 meters) with an average depth of 50 feet. Day 10: Gangtok - Namchi - Darjeeling (125 kms/5 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a picturesque journey to Darjeeling, rich with scenic beauty and cultural discoveries. En route, stop at Namchi to explore the majestic Samdruptse Hilltop Monastery and the imposing statue of Guru Padmasambhava, along with the revered Char Dham Temple. Day 11: At Darjeeling

On your return journey, explore the serene Ghoom Monastery and the picturesque Batasia Loop. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, embark on a comprehensive sightseeing excursion across Darjeeling. Important Information

Permit and Document Requirements: To issue permits for Tsomgo Lake, New Baba Mandir, Nathula Pass, Lachen, and Lachung, you need to provide both sides of a photocopy of a valid driving license, passport, or voter ID for adults, a birth certificate for minors, and passport-size photos of everyone.
Supplementary costs (subject to change): USD 46 per person for the Toy Train Joy Ride in Darjeeling.
If any of the mentioned sightseeing points is closed due to renovation, weekly closures, or any other reason, it will not be covered on another day. Please note that no alternate sightseeing will be arranged for the closed point.
In no-parking zones or if parking is unavailable at the hotel, vehicles will be parked in the nearest available area. Guests should be at the reception 5 minutes before departure and be patient as the driver navigates traffic.
The tourism infrastructure in Sikkim and Darjeeling is not as developed as in plains, many hotels lack lifts and may have restricted water and power availability. Guests with health issues should inform us at booking so we can arrange rooms on lower floors.
Due to poor road conditions and frequent landslides, guests should carry minimal luggage to North Sikkim and leave the rest in Gangtok. Senior citizens and children under 10 are not advised to visit Gurudongmar Lake due to high altitude.
In Lachen and Lachung, most hotels lack heating systems and geysers, providing hot water bags and bucket-supplied hot water instead. Hotels in this area offer only basic amenities and simple food cooked by locals rather than a hotel chef.
Nathula Permit: Nathula Permit charges are additional to the tour cost, and to be paid if want to visit. Nathula is closed on Mondays. Nathula Pass permits are issued on a rotation basis and typically require 48 hours' notice, with issuance only 24 hours before or on the day of the tour. The Indian Army permits visits only from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, so early departure from Gangtok is essential. During high season, we will attempt to secure a permit and refund the supplement if unsuccessful due to weather or other reasons. If the permit is issued but the visit cannot be made, no refunds will be provided. We will also try to obtain a premium, non-clubbed permit for SUVs.
If there are fewer than 6 people, small groups may be combined, possibly requiring vehicle changes or consolidations, with no refunds provided in such cases.
For easy communication on the go, consider downloading WhatsApp, as it is widely used in India and Nepal.
Transportation is provided according to the itinerary only and is not available on a disposal or point-to-point basis.
Any costs arising from natural calamities such as landslides, road blockages, political disturbances (e.g., strikes), etc., are to be borne by the client and paid directly on the spot. We will not be held liable for any refunds or compensation claims resulting from these circumstances.
India VISA: In most cases, you'll need a visa to visit India. Exceptions include Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and citizens of a few select countries with visa-free agreements. For more information, please check https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.

Payment Terms

A deposit of 10% is required to confirm this tour, and the remaining balance will be charged 30 days prior tour starting date. For any bookings within 30 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking. This can be paid through bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash.
