Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati

Upon your arrival in Guwahati, an Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax at leisure. In the evening, consider an optional river cruise on the Brahmaputra River to witness a tranquil sunset (available at an additional cost). Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Guwahati - Shillong (100 kms/2.5 hrs drive)

Begin your day with an early morning departure for Shillong, where the scenic journey sets the tone for an enriching experience. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and take some time to rest and relax. In the afternoon, explore Shillong's charming attractions, starting with the serene Cathedral Church, followed by a visit to Lady Hydari Park, known for its beautiful gardens and diverse flora. Continue to the Orchidarium, where you can marvel at an exquisite collection of orchids. Day 5: Exploring Kaziranga National Park

Early in the morning head-out on your first jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park. As you venture into this UNESCO World Heritage Site, keep an eye out for its remarkable inhabitants, including the renowned one-horned rhinoceros, majestic tigers, and herds of wild buffalo and elephants. The park’s diverse ecosystem is also home to various species of deer, pythons, and the rare Ganges River dolphins, making the safari an unforgettable adventure. Day 6: Kaziranga - Nameri National Park (90 kms/2.5 hrs drive)

This sanctuary is home to endangered species like the white-winged wood duck, sloth bear, and clouded leopard, among others. In the evening, visit the renowned Kamakhya Devi Temple, dedicated to the revered mother goddess Kamakhya. Situated on Nilachal Hill in the western part of Guwahati, this ancient temple is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. Explore the temple’s sacred ambiance and its significant role in Hindu spirituality. After your visit, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Departure from Guwahati

In the morning, we will transfer you to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey.
