Day 1: Arrive in Leh

Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure, allowing time to acclimatize to Leh's altitude and climate. In the evening, visit the stunning Shanti Stupa, a white-domed structure perched on a hilltop, offering panoramic views of the city. Afterwards, explore the local market, where you can shop for authentic Tibetan handicrafts like prayer wheels, stoles, and Pashmina shawls. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: At Sindhu Festival

After a hearty breakfast, head to Sindhu Ghat to experience the vibrant Sindhu Darshan Festival, celebrating the cultural diversity and unity of India along the sacred Sindhu River. Immerse yourself in the lively festivities and spiritual atmosphere throughout the day. In the evening, return to Leh for a relaxing dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3: At Sindhu Festival

Day 4: At Sindhu Festival or Explore Sham Valley

After a hearty breakfast, choose between heading to Sindhu Ghat to experience the vibrant Sindhu Darshan Festival or exploring the scenic Sham Valley. Begin with a visit to the Hall of Fame, a heartfelt tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Indo-Pak wars, built by the Indian Army. Next, explore the Kali Mata Mandir, followed by the historic Spituk Gompa, an 11th-century Buddhist monastery. Continue to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, commemorating Guru Nanak Dev's visit in 1517. Experience the fascinating Magnetic Hill, where the road appears to defy gravity, and enjoy a scenic drive to the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. After an inspiring day, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Leh - Thiksey - Pangong Lake (225 kms/5.30 hrs drive)

Early in the morning, take your packed breakfast from the hotel and set off for Pangong TSO Lake, the world's highest saltwater lake at an elevation of 4,350 meters. The lake's brilliant blue waters contrast sharply with the surrounding arid mountains. Stretching over 160 kilometers, one-third of Pangong Lake lies in India, with the other two-thirds in China. On the way, visit Shey Palace, the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Next, explore Thiksey Monastery, perched on a hill and offering breathtaking views of the Indus Valley. Continue your journey to Changla Pass, at 5,486 meters, famous for quick photo ops. Then, drive down to the village of Tangtse for a relaxing tea break. Finally, proceed to Pangong TSO Lake. Upon arrival, check in at your camp. If time allows, take a stroll by the lake. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Pangong - Hemis - Leh (240 kms/6 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the camp, spend the morning exploring the beautiful Pangong Lake and its surroundings. In the afternoon, drive back to Leh. On the way, visit Hemis Gompa, located 45 km from Leh. This monastery was re-established in 1672 by King Sengge Namgyal and hosts the annual Hemis festival in early June to honor Padmasambhava. Upon arrival in Leh, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the local market for some shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Departure from Leh

It's time to bid farewell to Ladakh. Depart for Leh Airport in time for your onward journey.

If rooms are not available at the mentioned hotels, we will provide alternate hotels of a similar category. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability.
At hill stations, air conditioning is not typically required due to the low temperatures. However, if AC is requested, it will be charged at Rs 7 per km for SUVs and Rs 10 per km for Tempo Travelers (TT), payable directly to the driver.
Mobile Phone Service - In Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, only postpaid SIM cards from BSNL, Airtel, and Jio work if you’re coming from other states in India. Prepaid SIM cards from other parts of India won’t work in this region. If you want to use a prepaid SIM, you’ll need to buy one from Leh or Srinagar.
There is no electricity at Nubra, Pangong, Sarchu, Jispa, Keylong, and Tsomoriri, so camps operate using generators that provide power only from 7 PM to 11 PM. During this time, you can charge your cameras, mobile phones, and power banks.
Only vegetarian meals will be available at Nubra, Pangong, Sarchu, Jispa, Keylong, and Tsomoriri.
To avoid high altitude sickness, you can take Diamox tablets before coming to Leh, but only after consulting with your doctor. Upon landing in Leh, please wear a jacket to help prevent high altitude sickness.
Transportation is provided according to the itinerary only and is not available on a disposal or point-to-point basis.
From November to April, most camps, guest houses, and hotels in various locations of Ladakh, such as Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Tsomoriri, Tsokar, Sham Valley, Kargil, and the Zanskar region, will be closed due to the off-season. In such cases, the best alternative accommodation will be provided, with prior information given to guests at the time of booking.
Any costs arising from natural calamities such as landslides, road blockages, political disturbances (e.g., strikes), etc., are to be borne by the client and paid directly on the spot. We will not be held liable for any refunds or compensation claims resulting from these circumstances.
The tourism infrastructure in Leh-Ladakh is not as developed as in the plains or other well-developed destinations. The region often faces scarcity of water and power, so you may encounter situations where hot water is supplied only at specific times, such as morning and evening.
Alkof Holidays reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any time due to reasons including, but not limited to, Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic issues, overbooking of hotels or flights, flight cancellations or rerouting, and closures or entry restrictions at a place of visit. While we will make every effort to arrange suitable alternatives, we cannot be held liable for any refunds or compensation claims arising from these changes.

Payment Terms

A deposit of 10% is required to confirm this tour, and the remaining balance will be charged 30 days prior tour starting date. For any bookings within 30 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking. This can be paid through bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash.
