Day 1: Chandigarh - Shimla (160 kms/3 hrs drive)

Upon arrival at Chandigarh airport or railway station, an Alkof Holidays representative will greet you and transfer you directly to Shimla. Once known as the summer capital of India during the British era, Shimla is a popular hill station situated in North India at an altitude of 6,810 feet. Originally selected as a sanatorium for European officers, Shimla evolved into a significant hill town and later became the summer capital of British India. Check in at your hotel upon arrival, and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: At Shimla (Local Sightseeing & Trip to Kufri)

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Kufri, renowned for its ski slopes and stunning views. On the way, stop at Jakhoo Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Located on Jakhoo Hill, Shimla’s highest peak, the temple sits 2.5 km east of the Ridge at an elevation of 2,455 meters above sea level. Next, marvel at the elegant stained-glass windows of Christ Church, a stunning example of 19th-century Gothic architecture built in the 1850s.

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Manali.
