Day 1: Arrival in Jodhpur

Welcome to Jodhpur, famously known as the Blue City. Upon arrival at Jodhpur Airport or Railway Station, an Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, you have the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, embark on an insightful Village Safari to the Bishnoi village, where you'll immerse yourself in the local lifestyle and culture. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: At Jodhpur

Wake up to a delightful breakfast and get ready for exciting day of exploring Jodhpur. Today, continue your sightseeing tour of the city, delving deeper into its history and culture. Start your sightseeing from the visit of Massive Mehrangarh Fort - founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha, Mehrangarh Fort is perched on a 150 m high hill its sprawl is the most formidable and magnificent fort in Rajasthan. There are seven gates, which include Jayapol (Victory Gate) built by Maharaja Man Singh to commemorate his victories over Jaipur and Bikaner armies. You can still see the battle scars on the second gate of the fort. Also visit Jaswant Thada, the graceful marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Later visit Mandore Garden, Clock Tower, and Sardar Market. Next visit Umaid Bhawan Museum, built between 1928 and 1943, it's the world's largest private residence of the royal family. Part of the palace is a luxury hotel, part of it royal quarters, and some part of the palace is dedicated to the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Jodhpur - Jawai Bandh (150 kms/3 hrs drive)

After a hearty breakfast, leave for Jawai Bandh - a dam built across the Jawai river, and one of the best travel destinations in Rajasthan for Leopard Safari. Upon arrival, check-in at the resort and take some time to unwind. Later in the evening, embark on an exciting jeep safari, providing you with a comprehensive tour of the area. The safari begins at your hotel and includes a visit to Jawai Dam, where you can spot crocodiles and enjoy bird watching amidst the stunning views of the dam. Continue your safari to Leopard Point, where you can marvel at these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, nestled among towering granite rocks. Conclude your day with a delicious dinner at the resort, followed by a restful overnight stay.

Day 4: Jawai Bandh - Jodhpur (150 kms/3 hrs drive) & Departure

Early in the morning, around 5:00 AM, set off on another thrilling jeep safari to spot a range of wildlife, including leopards, striped hyenas, sloth bears, Indian foxes, wild boars, chinkaras, nilgais, Indian eagle-owls, Indian pythons, mugger crocodiles, and migratory birds. After your safari, return to the resort for breakfast. Following your meal, our representative will transfer you to Jodhpur airport or railway station for your onward journey.

Our family had a customized tour that included all three national parks for tiger safaris as well as the traditional golden triangle tour. We had 2 different drivers during the tour that picked us up at the airport or drove us to the next location.
