Perched on a cliff, this sacred site is believed to have been blessed by Guru Rinpoche in the 8th century, who is said to have flown here on a tigress's back to meditate and subdue a local demon. The hike to the monastery takes about 2 hours at an average pace and offers breathtaking views along the way. Though the original structure was destroyed by fire in 1998, it has been meticulously restored and stands as a testament to Bhutanese craftsmanship and spiritual devotion. In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong, which was originally constructed as a watchtower and now serves as the National Museum of Bhutan.
