Day 1: Mumbai - Mahabaleshwar (250 kms/5.5 hrs drive)

In the morning, an Alkof Holidays representative will pick you up from your hotel in Mumbai or from Mumbai Airport, depending on your preference. You will be transferred directly to Mahabaleshwar by road. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Mahabaleshwar

After breakfast, embark on a journey to explore the enchanting hill stations of Mahabaleshwar. Known for its lush strawberry farms and historic Parsi (Zoroastrian) bungalows, Mahabaleshwar offers stunning views of the Sahyadri Hills and the Koyna River Valley. Wander through the picturesque landscapes, enjoying the serene walks and panoramic lookouts. Delve into the area’s rich history, with connections to the legendary Shivaji Maharaj. Visit various Eco Points to take in sweeping views of the hills and valleys. Explore key landmarks including Mount Malcolm, the Catholic Church, Mahabaleshwar Club, and Morarji Castle. In the evening, visit the scenic Veena Lake for a tranquil boat ride and some enjoyable horse riding around the lake. Return to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3: At Mahabaleshwar (visit Panchgani)

After breakfast, set off for a full day of sightseeing in Panchgani. Encircled by picturesque hills on all sides, Panchgani derives its name from "Panch" (five) and "Gani" (hills). This charming hill station is renowned for its proximity to Mahabaleshwar, its prestigious boarding schools, and its strawberry and raspberry farms. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Panchgani as you explore its scenic landscapes and enjoy the serene environment. Return to your hotel in Mahabaleshwar for an overnight stay.

Day 4: At Mahabaleshwar (visit Pratapgad)

After breakfast, set out to explore Pratapgad Fort, a historic stronghold of the Maratha Empire. Constructed in 1656, the fort is renowned for its intricate layout, including a network of ponds, chambers, and dark corridors, some of which lead to trap doors with dramatic drops. Pratapgad is historically significant as the site of the Battle of Pratapgad, where the formidable Bijapur general Afzal Khan met his end at the hands of Shivaji Maharaj. Today, it stands as a popular tourist attraction, offering insights into Maratha history. In the evening, your driver will transfer you back to Mahabaleshwar for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Depart Mahabaleshwar

After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to your hotel or to Mumbai Airport for your onward journey.
