Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at New Delhi airport, an Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in and some time to freshen up, set out for a half-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich historical tapestry dating back to the 6th century BC. Start your exploration at Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. Next, visit Humayun’s Tomb, an impressive Mughal monument constructed in 1562 by Humayun’s wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Then, drive past key landmarks such as the President’s House and India Gate, notable examples of Edwin Lutyen’s architectural legacy in Delhi. Return to your hotel in the evening for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Rishikesh (240 Kms/5.5 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a scenic drive to Rishikesh, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas along the banks of the River Ganges. Known for its spiritual significance and vibrant yoga and meditation centers, Rishikesh offers a blend of tranquility and adventure. Upon arrival, check in at your resort and take some time to unwind. Later, enjoy a half-day guided tour of Rishikesh. Visit Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula, iconic suspension bridges with significant religious importance. Explore Gita Bhawan, a serene ashram dedicated to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. In the evening, attend the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan, where you can witness the beautiful ritual of offering prayers to the River Ganges with traditional chants and lamp-lighting ceremonies. Return to your resort for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3: Rishikesh - Haridwar - Rishikesh

After breakfast, set out for a day trip to Haridwar, a sacred city on the banks of the Ganges. Begin by visiting the Mansa Devi Temple, perched on a hill and offering panoramic views of the city. Continue to the Chandi Devi Temple, another important pilgrimage site dedicated to the goddess Chandi. Explore the Maya Devi Temple, known for its ancient significance, and the Daksha Mahadev Temple, which holds mythological importance. Next, visit the Sapta Rishi Temple and Ramanand Ashram, both notable for their spiritual ambiance and historical relevance. In the evening, return to Har Ki Pauri, the revered ghats of Haridwar, to witness the enchanting Ganga Aarti ceremony. The ritual, with its vibrant display of lights, chants, and flowing Ganges, creates a spiritually uplifting experience. Return to Rishikesh for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 4 to Day 6: At Rishikesh

Spend the next three days immersed in yoga and meditation at your resort in Rishikesh. Each day will be dedicated to rejuvenating your mind, body, and spirit under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Throughout the day, enjoy the serene surroundings of the resort and explore the spiritual essence of Rishikesh. Return to your comfortable resort each night for a restful overnight stay.

Day 7: Rishikesh - Delhi (240 Kms/5.5 Hrs Drive) & Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and embark on your drive back to Delhi. An Alkof Holidays representative will assist you with your transfer to your hotel, railway station, or airport in Delhi, or to any other location as advised. This concludes your journey, and you will be well-prepared for your onward travel or departure.
