Day 1: Bagdogra - Darjeeling (70 Kms/2.5 Hrs Drive)

Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you will be welcomed by an Alkof Holidays representative who will transfer you to Darjeeling. After checking in at your hotel, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing and acclimating to the beautiful surroundings. Enjoy the evening at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Darjeeling

Begin your day early, before breakfast, with a visit to Tiger Hill, perched at an impressive altitude of 8,364 feet. Here, you'll witness a breathtaking sunrise casting a golden glow over the majestic Kanchenjunga Peak, weather permitting. On your way back, stop at Ghoom Monastery to admire its peaceful atmosphere and the impressive Maitreya Buddha statue, and visit the Batasia Loop, a unique railway loop offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, set out for a full day of sightseeing in Darjeeling. Start with a visit to the serene Japanese Temple and the stunning Peace Pagoda, where you can enjoy moments of reflection. Continue to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, home to unique Himalayan wildlife, and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute where you can learn about the history of mountaineering in the Himalayas, which is closed on Thursdays. Next, be captivated by the natural beauty of Tenzing and Gombu Rock, and explore the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, which is closed on Sundays. Conclude your tour with a visit to a picturesque Tea Estate, where you can admire the lush greenery and learn about tea cultivation. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Darjeeling - Kalimpong (55 Kms/2.5 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, head to Kalimpong and check in at your hotel upon arrival. Spend the morning relaxing before starting your local sightseeing. Begin with Durpin Hill, where you'll explore the impressive Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Monastery, linked to the same Buddhist tradition as the Dalai Lama. Continue your tour with stops at Jelapla View Point and Pine View Point for panoramic vistas. Visit Chitra Bhanu, Kalim Temple, and the Dr Graham's Homes Complex for a taste of local history and culture. End your day at Delo Hill (5,556 ft), the highest point in Kalimpong, offering sweeping views of the town, Mt. Kanchenjunga, the Relli Valley, and the Teesta River. Day 4: Kalimpong - Gangtok (80 Kms/3 Hrs Drive)

Begin your exploration at Tashi View Point, which provides stunning views of the Kanchenjunga peaks, weather permitting. Next, drive to Rumtek Monastery, a major spiritual center located 23 km from Gangtok, offering insight into Sikkim's rich Buddhist heritage. Day 5: Exploring Gangtok

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Gangtok. Begin your day with a visit to Hanuman Tok, a serene temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, situated in the upper reaches of Gangtok and maintained by the Indian Army. Next, head to Ganesh Tok for panoramic views of the city and the surrounding landscapes. Continue your tour with a visit to the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom (closed on Sundays), where you can appreciate Sikkimese art and craft. Explore the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (also closed on Sundays), which offers fascinating insights into Tibetan culture and Buddhist artifacts. Proceed to the Do Drul Chorten Monastery, an important stupa surrounded by prayer wheels and vibrant religious art. Finally, enjoy the natural beauty of Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park, a picturesque spot combining scenic waterfalls with a unique eco-park. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Gangtok - Bagdogra (125 Kms/4.5 Hrs Drive)

In the morning, an Alkof Holidays representative will transfer you from Gangtok to Bagdogra Airport. From there, board your flight to your home or onward destination.
